About Us
We are a group of concerned high school students at the Health Careers Academy in the City of Boston, Ma, in the United States.

We became aware of the child soldier tragedy in the Congo after we joined a program with Reebok International called Reebok 4 Real. This program encourages young people to get involved in helping to improve basic human rights. Our school selected a former Reebok Human Rights award winner from the Democratic Republic of the Congo as someone we admired for his fight for the human rights of children in the Congo. Christian Mukosa won the Reebok Human Rights Award in 2003, and is still in Africa working with Amnesty International.
Students and faculty at Heath Careers Academy have joined forces with a volunteer team from Reebok, to begin a letter writing and fund-raising campaign to stop the child soldier practice and to help rehabilitate former child soldiers who have been victims in this devastating war. As part of our efforts, Mr. Mukosa visited Health Careers Academy on January 23, 2008 when we held a kick-off rally to start our efforts to stop Child soldiers.

We would appreciate your support for our cause and welcome anything you can do to help us. Please go to the section of our web site to learn how you can help us advocate on behalf of the children and, if you are financially able, to provide a tax-deductible donation for this cause. |
